Ramblings is a collection of writings that tend to ramble on different topics to spark interest, challenge, and encourage others to research and think deeper on the issues of life. It is not meant to cause dissension, arguments, or debates in any way. They are merely points and thoughts to ponder. The "other side of the coin" so to speak. A Rambling is not meant to necessarily draw to a conclusion. It's up to you, the reader to do that.

Politics

In the up coming election it is extremely important that we prayerfully consider who God wants us to vote for. We should fast and pray for proper direction from God, Think about it. If Jesus was physically walking among us today who would he vote for? What would Jesus do? That saying has become a cliché and a number of ministers as well as Christians have expressed distaste for it. I'm not sure I understand why they are against it. The Bible says we are to be imitators of Christ. We are to have the mind of Christ. We should become like him. He is our example. Why wouldn't we want to do what Christ would do?

I realize many things have been done in error in both political parties. We also should realize they are humans and make mistakes and are sinful as we are. Could any one of us have done any better? Sure we could have but did we?

I would like us to consider something. So think with me here. How about us taking a look at both the Republican and Democratic tendencies of what they try to do and some of the things each represents.

Republican Tendencies to Promote:

1. Basic family Christian values.

2. Pro Life.

3. A government where we can still work to achieve our dreams without interference. Capitalism not Socialism.

4. Keeping the Bible & Prayer in our educational institutions.

5. Keeping God in our songs and on our buildings and currency.

6, Against censorship.

7. Against homosexuality

8. Pro traditional marriage.

9. Lower to moderate taxation.

10. And the list goes on.

Democratic Tendencies to Promote.

1. Big governmental control. Handouts not hand ups,

2. Higher taxes.

3. Control of the masses.

4. Socialistic views.

5. Pro Abortion.

6. Pro homosexuality

7. Censorship: There is legislation in congress that would love to take conservative talk radio & TV & Christian programming off the air.

8. Anti gun laws for more than just the criminals. There is a reason for that.

9. Trying to take Bible, prayer, and God out of our society in general.

10. And the list goes on.

For all you out there that are anal retentive, this is not a perfect write up of all the issues and an in depth study all encompassing and researched out the gazoo but a general overall tidbit of ramblings to think about.

Remember if Obama gets in, the Executive branch will be Democratic, the Legislative branch will be Democratic, and possibly with Supreme Court Judges being assigned by Obama the Judicial branch will become Democratic. There will be no checks and balances. There will definitely be a massive movement toward massive governmental control. A strong move toward Socialism like England and even worse toward the way France is. Even though things will be far from perfect if the Republicans get in, there is a greater possibility things will get far worse if the Democrats get in. Yes, we want change but we don't want bad change. I hope that I'm very very wrong but all of you out there that voted for President Bush and who hate him now I'm afraid that after 4 years and after you have voted for Obama your going to regret it far more than when you voted for Bush. I hope I'm wrong but we'll see.

What country on earth are people dying to get into? Is it England, Russia, France, China? I don't think so. It's the United States of America. With our freedoms, our free enterprise, capitalism, colleges, and etc. Why would we ever want to be like any other country in the world? People came here to get away from the garbage of European governments over 200 years ago. Why would we ever want to become like them again? Well, if we are not careful we will be.

I admit there are a lot of lies being propagated. We have to discern what are lies and what are not. There are many that are going to chose to believe lies even after they are proven to be lies. Unfortunately it is really hard to prove the lies for what they are because with the media as it is and the difficulty of getting truly to the source it is almost impossible. Just remember what Hitler's rule propagated. If a lie is told often enough, hard enough, big enough, and long enough it will finally be believed by the masses.

Granted both sides have their problems with the economy, illegal immigration, securing of our borders, the war on terror, war in Iraq, world peace, health care, tax reform, welfare reform, social security reform, and many other problems. And each side may have their good points and bad points about how to handle each of them.

Also each side has had their share of lies, mistakes, failures, greed, selfishness, pride, arrogance, and just being human but in our judgments let us not throw out the baby with the bath water.

We also must consider who are the people on both sides. Who supports the Republicans? Who supports the Democrats?

It appears that most of the Christian institutions are with the Republicans and people that are conservative in the ideals this nation was founded on. Unfortunately these people are becoming fewer and fewer because the general population is moving away from God. Ones that hold to the conservative ideals are conservative in views other than their wallets and abortion. They are not double minded.

Who support the Democrats. They are the Holly Wood crowd and the Michael Moores that produce films that are obscene, violent, and against our society. The ACLU who is anti-bible and promotes humanism, evolution, atheistic views, homosexuality, and abortionists. It was noted on the news that most of the world would like the Democrats to get in. That it would be in their favor and easier for them. And believe me it's not for world peace but for the destruction of our society which promotes Capitalism, free enterprise, and human freedoms. You think that is good? Consider who they are. Osama Bin Laden, President of Iran, general terrorist factions, leader of North Korea, Putin, Cuban president, and of course Chavez. A great bunch. They are the Democrats Comrades.

Now that I have the Democrats thoroughly PO'ed, Let's switch gears and look at the following set of ramblings.

Let's not vote our hearts for our hearts are according to the Bible desperately wicked only God knows them. Let's vote as best we can how God would vote or wants us to vote. That being said I hope that whoever becomes president that he would become the best president that we have ever had. I hope God will lead him and bless him and use him for God's glory. In the ultimate end it is God who puts into rule over the nations. He will rule the nations with whom He wants.

So, let none of us get cocky in bragging that their candidate won for it is God who elected him not us. We can be blessed or judged by either party the way God uses them to do His will. God used pharaoh in Egypt years ago for His glory so let God use our president to do His will in our lives.
