"THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD"
Ps. 33:12 "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord"
Ps. 9:1-2 "I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart. I will tell of
all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High."
John 1:1-5 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been
made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood
it."
Gen.1:1-19 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.”
So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.
God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it,
according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according
to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs
to mark seasons and days and years,
and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.
God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day."
Ps.8:3-5
"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor."
Ps.33:6-9
"By the word of the
Lord
were the heavens made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars
he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the
Lord
let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm."
Amos5:8
"(he who made the Pleiades and Orion,
who turns blackness into dawn
and darkens day into night,
who calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the
Lord
is his name"
Job9:7-9
"He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars.
He alone stretches out the heavens
and treads on the waves of the sea.
He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed,
miracles that cannot be counted."
